POLYCULTURE

In agroecology, polyculture refers to the cultivation of multiple species in the same area, resulting in increased yields and healthier soils. Polyculture also encapsulates my design philosophy: biodiversity and human diversity go hand in hand. We need complexity, we need difference, and we need each other.

“Who has not gazed in wonder at the snaky shimmer of petrol patterns on a puddle, thrown a stone into them and watched the colours emerge out of the ripples, or marvelled at the bright rainbow arcing momentarilty in the burst of sunlight against the dark storm clouds?”
